Wiksten Haori // 2 Days // Jan 25 & 26

Sew along with us in this weekend workshop to create the cozy Wiksten Haori, a Japanese-inspired lined jacket with large pockets and a fold-over collar. This oversized jacket has taken the sewing community by storm due to its functionality and style, and the fact that it looks more complicated to sew than it actually is! Fully lined and reversible, the design includes three different lengths to choose from-- short (hip length), mid (below-hip length), and long (thigh length).

This is the perfect garment for transitional weather, or to add some warmth indoors while still looking put-together. Need some inspo? Check out the thousands of lovely examples on Instagram: http://instagram.com/explore/tags/wikstenhaori

Techniques learned:
- Using an independent sewing pattern
- Shawl collar
- Dropped sleeves
- Patch pockets
- Bagged lining

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate. You should feel comfortable using a sewing machine and sewing straight lines at an accurate seam allowance. It's okay if you're new to sewing garments.

Pattern and materials not included. An instructor will send the supply list ahead of time so you know what to bring the first day.
