Camisole Workshop // 1 Weekend // June 10 & 11
The camisole is a wardrobe workhouse, perfect for lounging around the house or for layering under blazers for the office. This is a great project to use up smaller lengths of fabric (think: leftovers from other projects), and is a relatively quick and satisfying sew. Its simple design makes for a great way to showcase a special fabric.
Both camisole patterns offered for this workshop have thin straps, subtle V-neck shaping in the front and back, and a swingy hem.
Workshop project:
Ogden Cami by True Bias (sizes 0-18)
Loungewear Cami by Style Arc (sizes 0-30). This version also has bust darts.
Skills learned:
- Working with a PDF pattern
- Cutting and marking fabric
- Installing a facing
- Sewing curves and a V-neck
- Understitching
- Narrow hems
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate. You MUST already feel comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine, but you may be new to sewing garments. If you are a novice sewer or feel unsure about threading a sewing machine and sewing straight lines, please check out our Sewing 101 course instead.
