Open Sew Night // Thurs Sept 26
Feeling stuck on a project and need a sew-jo boost? Or want an opinion on how much to hem that skirt? Or maybe you just need a big table to cut out your next pattern. Stop making excuses for your growing UFO (un-finished object) pile and join us for our very first OPEN SEW night at our Bella Vista studio!
Drop in for a relaxed evening of sewing with other makers and doers. Get access to our machines and tools, as well as a little guidance from an instructor and encouragement from other stitchers. All you need to bring is your project materials (i.e. pattern, fabric, thread and notions).
This event if open to everyone (students and non-students!), but some sewing experience is required to register. If you are new to sewing or don’t feel comfortable using a machine yet, please check out our Sewing 101 course to get a lay of the land first.
Note that this is a group environment with one instructor available for general help, so if you need hands-on assistance for complex projects or fitting issues, consider registering for private lessons instead. Our open-sew instructor specializes in garment sewing, so we may not be able to help with quilting, embroidery or home decor. You can always reach out beforehand to ask us if your project is appropriate for this environment.
See you there!
