Sewing 301: Advanced Construction // 5 Weeks // Starts Aug 13
Take it to the next level by learning more advanced construction techniques, and walk away with an impressive garment with all the details and pro finishes of ready-to-wear. You may choose from an array of styles for this course.
This class is now focused on advanced construction and making minor fit adjustments. More advanced fitting techniques are covered in Sewing 401: Fitting.
Pattern options include (but are not limited to) a lined dress with fitted bodice, a button-up shirt (men's and women's styles), or a pair of pants with zipper fly or button closure (men's and women's styles). Students may choose from our list of recommended pattern options or bring their own pattern as long as it is approved by the instructor
Skill Level: Intermediate, Advanced. You have made at least one or two garments and are familiar with sewing patterns and general construction techniques. You feel comfortable sewing curves and finishing seams.
Pattern and materials not included. A supply list will be sent to you ahead of time.
Note that we have two studio locations so !!please!! pay attention to where this class is hosted so you arrive at the correct studio on the first day of the class.
