Overalls Workshop // 2 Days // March 16 & 17

Overall, we adore overalls! This practical garment is our new favorite make. Slip a pair of overalls on and you've got a bold look that's comfy as can be. Make a working pair in a sturdy denim, use linen for a dreamy addition to your summer wardrobe, or try a bold print for a sweet statement piece. You can build a hundred different looks around this one garment and we've been making every excuse to do just that.

Pattern options for this class are the Burnside Bibs by Sew House Seven or the Jenny Overalls by Closet Case Patterns.

Skills Learned:

  • Constructing pants
  • Constructing waistbands
  • Invisible zipper insertion
  • Single and double topstitching techniques
  • Bar tacks & belt loops
  • Constructing patch pockets
  • Adjustable straps & accompanying hardware
  • Hemming
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced. You have made a few garments before and are comfortable using a machine and cutting fabric on your own.

Pattern and materials not included. A supply list will be sent to each student ahead of time.

This is a weekend intensive sewing workshop. Due to the complexity of this sewing project and the condensed nature of the class, all participants MUST arrive with their fabric pieces already cut so everyone can jump right into construction.

Registration for this class will be closed one week before the start date to ensure that each student receives the materials list and is able to complete their cutting homework ahead of time.
