Jarrah Sweater Live Virtual Workshop // 1 Day // Feb 14

Join us on Zoom for a live virtual workshop, making this cozy sweater for winter! This project whips up no time and is a great building block for your handmade wardrobe.

Workshop project: Jarrah Sweater (view D) by Megan Nielsen. We'll be making View D only due to timing. We can show you how to adjust the length of the sleeves. This pattern comes in sizes 0-20 or 14-30 so you'll need to read the size chart and decide which one to purchase ahead of time.

Skills covered:
- Working with a digital pattern
- Reading size charts and choosing a size
- Cutting knits accurately with a rotary cutter and mat
- Sewing with stretch stitches on a regular sewing machine or a serger
- Attaching cowls/turtlenecks and drop sleeves
- Hemming knits

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate. You MUST already feel comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine and sewing at an accurate seam allowance. It's okay if you're new to sewing garments, but you should feel somewhat comfortable cutting out fabric on your own since that will be required ahead of class.

Virtual Class Info: This is a VIRTUAL CLASS hosted live on Zoom. After registering, you will receive an email from the instructor with Zoom access instructions as well as the supply list and any other information you may need to participate. You will log in at the designated time, and the instructor will walk you and the other participants through each step of the construction process. We will record the Zoom meeting and you can re-watch any part of the class, so even if you need to miss part of the live class you can still catch up.

Pattern and materials not included. You will receive the supply list from the instructor with details about how to get the pattern and what fabrics to search for. You will be expected to cut your fabric ahead of time so the class will focus on sewing only.

Location: Online! You will need to download Zoom to your computer or device.
