Hey super stitchers, ready to level up your sewing game? In this intermediate/advanced workshop, we’ll dive into the timeless art of making button-up shirts. Choose from a variety of patterns and stitch up your own take on this wardrobe staple—whether it's a breezy gauze for lingering summer days, cozy flannel for fall, or a crisp white classic that never goes out of style.

You’ll sharpen skills like collar construction, plackets, and buttonholes while creating a functional, polished garment you’ll be proud to wear. Let’s make something impressive—and totally you.

Pattern Options (you are also welcome to run a pattern of your choice by us):

 

Jenna Shirt by Closet Core (Women's sizes 31"-60" bust)
Waikerie Shirt by Muna and Broad (Women's sizes 40"-65" bust)
Tarawi Shirt by Muna and Broad (Women's sizes 40"-65" bust)
Fairfield Button Up by Thread Theory (Men's sizes XS to XXL)



 Skills learned vary by pattern but may include:
- Buttonholes & plackets
- Patch and flap pockets
- Setting in two-piece sleeves
- Collars & cuffs

 

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced. Students must have taken Sewing 201 or have similar experience (made at least one garment and feel comfortable cutting fabric on their own).

5 Weeks; 15 total course hours

Section 1: 5 Sundays 5-8pm on Oct 5, 12, 19, 26, & Nov 2
