Sewing 301: Winter Outerwear // 5 Weeks // Starts Jan 5
Hey super stitchers, get ready for an action-packed sewing jamboree! This is our Advanced Projects class focusing on outerwear where you'll choose from an array of patterns and complete an impressive, functional, and warm jacket. Keep it classic with a solid wool, or make a statement with a funky print. Add some snazzy hardware to really wow everyone when they learn it's handmade.
-The Sanda Coat by Merchant & Mills (Women's sizes 6-28) - a minimalist coat with a rolled collar and turn back cuffs. Can be made lined or unlined.
-Phoebe Coat by Closet Core Patterns (women's sizes XXS-4X) - a modern, double-breasted coat with a cocoon shape. Designed to fit oversized so you can throw it over bulky winter layers. Comes with two length options, below-knee or mid-thigh.
-Grant Coat by Daughter Judy Patterns (women's sizes XS-5X) - a fully lined shawl style robe coat with raglan sleeves. Choose between front closures or belted wrap style coat.
-Heavy Shirt by Wardrobe by Me (Unisex sizes 2XS-4XL) - An unlined, classic shacket featuring a loose relaxed fit with button placket, traditional collar, sleeve cuffs, and chest pocket.
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced. Students must have taken Sewing 201 or have similar experience (made at least one garment and feel comfortable cutting fabric on their own).
