Open Studio: Make Time to Sew

You’ve asked for open studio time, and we’re excited to welcome you in! Set aside three hours for yourself, settle in at a sewing machine, and make progress on the projects you’ve been meaning to finish.

Whether you’re catching up on a project from a multi-week class, looking for some uninterrupted creative time away from home, or dreaming up handmade holiday gifts, Open Studio gives you the space and tools to make it happen. Spread out at our cutting tables, bring your ideas to life, and enjoy a little time just for you.

Working on gifts this year? Bring your fabric and supplies and get a head start on something special for everyone on your list!

How it works: Bring a project you’re ready to work on independently, along with your pattern, fabric, thread, and any notions you’ll need. We’ll provide the workspace and tools. An instructor will be in the studio and available for general questions, but this is not an instructor-led class or workshop.

What we provide: You’ll have access to our sewing machines, sergers, cutting tables and tools, hand-sewing accessories, and more. We also provide commonly used materials such as interfacing and access to our scrap fabric bin, though we can’t guarantee that specific fabrics will be available.

What to bring: Your pattern, fabric, thread, and any notions needed for your project.

Experience required: You must already know how to use a sewing machine; machine basics will not be taught during Open Studio.

Ages: Participants must be over 16.

Cost: $45 per three-hour session. Each session is limited to eight participants, and you’re welcome to register for more than one.

• Saturday, November 14: 3:30–6:30 p.m.

• Saturday, December 12: 3:30–6:30 p.m.

• Saturday, December 19: 3:30–6:30 p.m.
