Bag Making: Sling Bag // 1 Day // May 17

Tired of tote bags sliding off your shoulder while you juggle coffee, keys, kids, and life? Still searching for the perfect hands-free bag for travel days and sightseeing adventures? Or maybe you need a handmade gift that feels extra special?

This workshop has you covered.

Sling bags are the ultimate modern essential — equal parts stylish and practical, with that cool oversized crossbody/fanny-pack energy we’re seeing everywhere right now. You’ll create a fully lined, structured bag that looks store-bought (but better) and fits your everyday essentials with ease.

Best of all, you get to choose your pattern:

-Ferris Bag by Sallie Tomato

-Bestie Bag by Blackbird Fabrics

Both options are functional, polished, and guaranteed to spark the question:
“Wait… you made that?!”

Skills learned:
- Working with heavyweight fabrics
- Inserting zippers
- Hardware and strap attachment
- Pockets
- Top stitching

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate. You MUST already feel comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine as well as sewing straight lines. If you are a novice sewer, please check out our Sewing 101 course first.

Pattern and materials not included. A supply list will be sent to you upon purchase of this class and will detail everything you need to bring.
